i got an email back about that friend i was trying to contact

girl said she forwarded my mail on to him (probably uncomfortable about giving out his email address, that's fine)

then she suggested that he and i should come on their singles ski trip to canada in May

which sounds like she thinks i'm an old girlfriend trying to find him.
also means he's still single, i know a couple people who'll be pleased to hear that
