i'd go on more about how much i don't want to be here and i want my own room, but i'm really tired of hearing me whine, really.

anyhow, it seems that my quasi-news leaked out by way of spanky and icq and gabbymoe
i'm wary of announcing such things until i see actual plane tickets, yaknow? i haven't heard from Ed in a while but last i heard from him he said he'd have tickets for me in 10 days, and it hasn't been 10 days yet :)
anyway, it's in Chicago, i'm so terribly west coast that i had to ask someone what state that was in, and then look at a map, i knew that artvamp was in Chicago, but it never concerned me enough to figure out exactly where that was
i had a vague idea that it was over there somewhere *gestures generally northeast*
it's called the Sacred Sexuality Conference and there's some mildly cryptic information there, from talking to Ed and Btripp it sounds utterly fascinating.
the reason for me being there is that i'm to be tattoo'ed (and possibly pierced) on stage at some point, i guess other than that i get to wander around with a camera and gape, and poke Btripp in the belly
lots of people i wish i could take with me, along with a good portion of nakedparts
oh yeah and it's June 1-3 if you didn't look at the page

I think tickets are dependent on tickets
I'm not the "money man" in this three-ring circus (I just look like it) but I suspect there is a bit of a cash-flow issue at work here. So far Ed has been paying for everything out of his pocket (well, except for the stuff that I've paid out of my pocket), so the conference has been going paycheck-to-paycheck, pretty much sucking every dollar out of Ed's hand as soon as his employer hands it over to him. Needless to say, these dollars should be coming from ticket sales, but since most of the early ticket sales have come via the Pay Pal option, they're still hung up in their two-week turn-around time. Now, we are expecting a sell-out, but since much of our "media" is just breaking this week (remember, it was only two weeks ago that we got the venue nailed down!), a lot of the $$$ are going to be coming in "just in time".
Again, I try not to get into money things (they turn me into Hulk ... it's not pretty) but I assume that if Ed said "10 days" he was counting down to a particular pay check.
