hoveringsombrerowatching the news after SNL, no mention at all of Douglas Adams
however there was a funny story
the Mayor of Galt (tiny town in the central valley here) got a virus on his computer, in the bit he stood by his computer (now evidence) and explained:
*mayor points at the computer* "They came in by the phone line here, then implanted a virus on my hard drive" he went on to explain how they took personal information and state information and held his computer hostage, and would only let him on at certain times (threats to his family as well) until they finally "got all they wanted" and then erased his hard drive. then (and seemingly only then) he told the police.
*ahem* he was on a windows machine and they said the virus was a trojan horse, so the idiot clicked on an .exe, likely in email (still he could have had his email set to download all attachments, that part's almost excusable) .. holding his computer hostage? only letting him use it at certain times?
UNPLUG THE GODDAMN PHONE LINE!
jesus h. good thing he's only mayor of a small town, aren't people like that supposed to be supervised when using a computer?
