ok, yay i figured it out

something was woogy with the livejournal client i had newly installed on the desktop, something's woogy with the whole fucking desktop

it was working again, then i took a nap, and i'm convinced the boys broke it cause it worked fine for me, it's now acting like something's wrong with the processor

need to find a bit of grounding tho
