i'm responding at the bottom of the string HERE in the bisexual community

GAH i could rant for hours about the scary sites in the link section of straightpride.com but like i said about godhatesfags.com in an early rant on my site(part of the site that's down) and on my radio show, as much as i disagree or am offended at someone's message they have a right to it

but that's not the point in this string, yeah the site itself (straightpride.com) does not have the best of motives, probably started by someone who was offended at gay pride stuff, but i think that people have every right to buy/sell/wear a straight pride t-shirt and i'll try not to think bad things of them if i see it

why can't there be straight pride without hating gay pride?
why can't there be white pride without hating other races?

i'm pretty DAMN happy i'm white, i'll likely get some sort of white pride tattoo at some point, but probably not easily shown because i'm still a wuss, and goddamn people will take it the wrong goddamn way, maybe i'll get a black pride tattoo and confuse 'em all

it just hurts my brain, why can't people defend their beliefs or causes without attacking the opposite?
if you really belive it then shouldn't that stand on it's own?

what's funny is that thread is also an example of the difference in kal and i's argueing/debating styles, i told him the link an he jumped into it after i started writing this post here that you responded too
i enjoyed the arguement/discussion for it's own sake, kal also did but then decided to piss 'em off (heh)
i think i lost a bet tho, i thought the girl that we were both replying to would attacking his spelling in her first response to him, instead she went with the attack spelling when offended or out of arguements, instead of attack spelling to avoid the point of the discussion all together from the begining

This is a straight, white society. There are no "straight pride" marches because EVERYTHING is a big fucking white, straight pride march. This is also a male dominated society. Before it was closed, the Women's Center at my school was always the target of stupid remarks like, "Why isn't there a MEN'S center?" Because the entire country is a men's center.

my socity isn't male dominated or straight dominated, i do no feel repressed because i'm a girl, and i've only had 2 people in my entire life freak out at me 'cause i like girls (one cause he believed i stole his girlfriend, the other cause he was afraid i'd steal his girlfriend when i'd never met her, destroyed the friendship)

granted that's because i limit the type of people i associate with or ignore stupidity, doesn't mean i don't notice it or know it exists elsewhere, i just don't let it in my world

You live in the same society as everyone else.

Everyone is entitled to be proud of who they are -- I think both gay and straight pride are pretty ridiculous concepts, since they both polarize people. However, that shouldn't stop you from presenting whatever image you want to the world.
