What have I been doing lately. Well, I house/cat sat for 8 days, it was odd but fun. Their house seemed so much bigger than it does when they're in it (no I'm not calling you fat, sir). Their cats were fun, their TV was large and made me watch stupid things.

While I was away the Joshman bought me a nifty new vacuum. It took a bit of figuring out to assemble the first time, but now I can transform it with relative ease. It works on hard surfaces as well as carpet, so the front porch and balcony are now well clean.

Also my netbook was paid off. So I have dualbooted it. Ubuntu Netbook Remix with the existing Windows XP. The desktop/interface took a bit of getting used to. I tried to remove it and switch to a classic Ubuntu desktop, and broke it entirely, but I'm smart so managed to fix it and I've just gotten used to it. Its lid also now sports an Ubuntu sticker and a "feel your boobies" sticker.

I've had a few more jobs from my sole voicework client mindesparke.com, most recently I did an 8 minute guided meditation on which I am awaiting approval/payment or if I need to redo. Aside from the fact that I am in dire need of a quality mic, I quite enjoyed it, and am pondering doing some of that on my own, since I seem to have quite a soothing voice. SOOTHING, I SWEAR IT!

Also, I was recently able to spend a little bit of cashy money on NON-IMPORTANT THINGS! I am awaiting shipping on an order from dealextreme.com (free shipping, cheap&fun gadgets, but from China so looooooong shipping), a new pair of earphones from ebay, and an order from e.l.f.. It has been YEEEARS, since I've bought myself anything more than one thing of makeup, and probably a year since even that. I am a girl, dammit!

The health has its ups and downs, the downs still aren't any fun, but at least they no longer come with strep. Having a pretty bad few days of down, but it'll pass soon, I hope.

And I was brought a plushy chickenguy from Hawaii (where housesit friends were on holiday), here he is atop my leftovers from lunch the day I was taken home.
