Late to the bacon party.

I've cooked bacon, at home, less than 10 times in my life, probably closer to 6. Of that about half of them were for someone else and I did not eat it. I have had bacon in restaurants and such in things, but of that probably only ate actual stand alone bacon strips a handful of times.

I have never ever ever cooked bacon just to eat it, 'till tonight. And I dipped it in maple syrup. It was pretty awesome, I doubt I'll be doing that terribly often, but I sorta get the fascination the world seems to have with bacon, now.

However, as a kid, I very much enjoyed eating Stripples at every opportunity, and would often just heat them up and eat them wrapped around pear or apple pieces.

Do stripples taste at all like actual bacon?
