Nationality is not ethnicity, yes.

rm did a very excellent job of calmly attempting to discuss with the OP, though.

What made me angry is was the tone of the thing, and the fact that it wasn't entirely wrong, just OVERLY privileged and misguided. But her rightness was only accidental, as well.

One's ethnicity should be part of one's nationality, but one's nationality does not cancel out one's ethnicity.

The problem seems that HAVE MORE NATIONAL PRIDE YAY! seems to nearly always come with either a blatant sidebar or a subtle undertone of supremacy/superiority.
