My pre-admitting appointment on Friday went well. I was dreadfully nervous but it was quite a pleasant experience. They took blood, had me pee in a cup, took xrays of my chest and did an EKG. And also had me sign piles of paperwork, took my picture for my bracelet that day and made a copy for Tuesday. So unless something has gone terribly wrong with my blood, it's all good to go.

I'm having trouble wrapping my brain around the reality that the pre-admitting appointment has already come and gone.

The rest of the day was also lovely. The girlperson was working an early morning case at UMC that day so we got done at about the same time. So we went out to lunch after. Both of us were ridiculously hungry, and wanting spicy foods. So we went to Archi's (thai food). When we got there, there was this fabulous car in the parking lot that I just had t snap a photo of before we went in. This is near the area in which I originally lived in vegas, and it seems like there's often nifty cars in this particular lot, saw a lambo there once.

I do believe that is the first time that there has been no leftovers to take home from her and I eating at Archi's. We murdered that food. It was very good, and I had really wanted to have some spicy food before I can't for a long time, so it was just the thing. I only managed a picture of the soda, as once the food came we just inhaled it.

Then we went to the little place by my doctor's office. Boba City Cafe, and got gelatos and tea. They seriously have THE MOST AMAZING TEA ever there. It's just green tea and honey, but both the tea and the honey are imported exclusively to them from a family's farm in Thailand. It's heaven in a cup. I am so in love with that tea.

I'm still pretty nervous, it's more of an excited/nervous than scared/nervous, but still. So many years and years and years of this issue and it's finally, hopefully going to be taken care of. I'm not going to be entirely convinced it's actually happening till I wake up after surgery.

Just talked to mother and she is going ahead and getting a motel room for both Monday night (cause she has to drive from Arizona, so didn't want to just leave at 4am on Tuesday), and also Tuesday night, so that she can hang out with me for the day and not have to worry about having to drive back. Since Josh is working and won't be home till late, and a person really isn't supposed to be left alone for quite a while after surgery.

And in the spirit of food I won't be able to eat for a while. I usually don't like pizza, I try it a few times a year, or while drunk, and then decide that I don't like it again. But I had a short nap earlier in which I dreamed I was eating pizza and it was lovely. So when I woke I got myself a mushroom/olive/tomato/green pepper/bacon pizza. The two slices I had were pretty good. So I think it was a good idea for this my last weekend of solid food for a while.

(after two hours...)

The car; that's a 1990 Destiny Classic, the last of the Tiffany vehicles made by Classic Motor Cars.

Or, looking at the title (would you could you).....

.... it's a 1990 ford mustang convertible.

There are 50 or so of those in existence, provided they all still exist.
