Put external drive back on,
set up sharing with the windows network.
Can now be seen by the other computers as well as see them.
Pretty nifty.
Still not a damn clue how to make it see the video card,
followed instructions online for "drivers."
However, linux still doesn't see anything in the pci slot,
typed all kinds of things was told by people and the internet,
isn't listed in hardware, mister grep can't find it.
I haven't a clue what I'm doing,
will be both annoyed and pleased if my vid card is just dead.
I'd be annoyed at dead card.
But pleased that that's why I couldn't fix it.
