Sauce technology.
Mar. 24th, 2009 10:14 pmNow, J likes these skillet meal thingies, I don't particularly care for them but they're easy for me to make him for dinner, so we buy them for him.
When we first started getting them, the sauce was always a frozen lump at one end of the bag, always annoying, cause it was always at the opposite end of the bag that I opened, forcing me to have to shift the stuff around in the skillet to get the LUMP O SAUCE to the bottom to melt.
We didn't buy them for several months (I think I was being a better cook for a while), and then when we got them again, they'd changed.
Now apparently they freeze the sauce in a tube sort of thing, then slice it off into chips.

As you see, it's scattered throughout the other foods, it melts quicker and cooks much better.
I hope whoever came up with that got a raise.
