So, had trouble sleeping due to the massive headache stupid Linux gave me last night.

But got back on the issue after I was awake, and with help of a boyperson and the_grg finally got it installed. WOO!

I've got a few more issues to work out, that I'm not going near tonight. I still gotta make it play with the video card, which I haven't even tried just plugging it into the video card yet. Plus there's the elleventy billion updates it wants to do, plus putting my external drive back on, plus making it play nice with the windows network plus putting old C back in as secondary so I can get at the shit on it.

I left to the store right after it installed. Met that roommateguy at the store and while he was in the bathroom I got accosted in the aisle by a rep of the bank that's inside our Smith's. At first I didn't realise what he was talking about me about, and started to brush him off, but it sunk in in time before he walked away, so I asked him some questions, and he said they were technically closed but they'd keep the branch open for J if he wanted to come apply. So I went and sat down inside das tiny bankbank, and texted J. He came over and got himself a bank account. Woo.

We keep seeing their advertisements every time we're in the store and just hadn't gotten around to it. So it worked out just fine. Plus the first time he uses his bank card in that Smith's his bank is going to give him $75 back. Which will be very helpful next week.

Tonight: Hot tub.

Tomorrow: probably a matinee of Watchmen.

This sentence makes my brain hurt...

"At first I didn't realise what he was talking about me about, and started to brush him off, but it sunk in in time before he walked away, so I asked him some questions, and he said they were technically closed but they'd keep the branch open for J if he wanted to come apply."

... and for some reason, I think it can only be properly read with an Australian accent.
