I went on a waterwalk today.

I'm a water whore, I <3 water. But Vegas tap water tastes funny and feels grainy. This doesn't stop me from drinking it, just makes it a not as pleasant beverage, it's more the grainyscratchy feeling than the taste. Throat doesn't like it, nosir.

So recently I noticed that there was gallons of water for A DOLLAR each in the little store by our Smith's. So I have acquired four of them, and once two go empty the plan was to walk down to the closest water guy (which is the cheapest, 20cents woo!) and refill them. So I always have water. Today was my first refill walk.

My empties. I tore the labels off, and you can see I missed a bit.

J's stupid stool made of milk crates that I'm still not happy about it being on the porch. Ghetto, ugh.

Me with my OMGSUN squinty forehead, and my O'Brian's Computer Service shirt.

Yay water, filling up the bottle.

It really fills the bottles, it overflows just long enough for you to go OMGWAT and try to figure out what to do, then it's done. Probably only spills a couple ounces. This is the second bottle, which is how I knew to be ready just in time to catch a good picture of the overflow.

CLEARLY REFRESHING! And the bottles are full and ready to be dragged (drug?) home! You can see a little spill on the ground from the overflow, not much at all. This waterguy is right outside a little Mexican grocery/deli/whatever. So there's takeout food also. It smelled like heaven. Mexican food heaven.

Saw this guy on my way home, I stopped after I turned into my street to let him pass me so I could get a picture, thinking he'd continue on. But he turned down my way also, and then went into my complex! Still got a picture of him as he passed. It's a big awesome looking ornate wooden headboard he's lugging. He saw me staring when he passed me and smiled and laughed and said "Yup, it's as heavy as it looks!" He nearly didn't make it up the little hill into the drive in gate.

Made it home! Except I stupidly just picked up the cart and charged up the stairs holding it. Another situation in which the "this is going to suck, so get it over with quick" bites me in the ass. It was far too much for me to do on crampday, I was glad for J's stupid ghetto stool cause I had to rest on it before going inside.

And here's cartguy's house. The one downstairs and directly across from my bedroom window, actually. I am envious of that headboard, I wonder if he dumpster'd it or got it from a friend/craigslist. And no he didn't leave the grocerycart there, residents are good about that, he took it back out of the complex after this picture was taken.

I was hoping to find more of the milk carts hiding in shrubbery today, but alas. No treasures other than just pictures today.

I had originally intended to get some sort of adapter for my sink filter or another that fits, but I think I like this better. It's only 20cents a gallon, it doesn't clutter up my sink, and it gives me a good walk excuse. I can't just walk for no reason, I have to have a purpose, Water is a good purpose.
