Long-ass day. Went to the outlet mall because we had called and found out that they had niobium CBRs marked down from the original $12, to $5.98, and now to $3.99. Mother didn't know what she thought about the coloured ones, but seeing it in person I thought the bluepurple was so pretty I got it anyway. The scan doesn't really show it up, but the blue has purpley and lighter blue highlights in it. So she has a choice between the gunmetal gray, and the purpleblue. If she doesn't want the blues I'll keep 'em for myself. But I thought It'd be nice to give her a choice. Especially since they were so cheap.

16 gauge for her, 14 gauge for me.
After relating all the advice from my post to the las vegas community, and after she called and talked a bit to The Skin Factory and wasn't very impressed with them on the phone, she's been leaning towards the Iron Horse shop, even though I told her it might be a scary place for her. However, I talked with them tonight, and they don't have a piercer in till Tuesday. Called the Skin factory back and they do have a piercer in on Sunday afternoon. Also Iron horse is $20/ear, Skin Factory is $25/one ear, $40/both.

So mother has an email from me with all this, so it's up to her if she wants to go do this tomorrow, or wait to go to Iron Horse later. I decided that I'm just going to do one ear, it seems like that it'll be easier to deal with to do it one at a time, plus it's cheaper. So if she doesn't feel like paying for my one ear when I go with her, I'll just go do it myself next week.

oh ...

You didn't mention "ear" until the last paragraph.

For a while there I thought you were shopping for nipple rings with your mom!

This keeps happening, I apparently keep assuming I've told everyone ears, or that everyone knows my desire to keep the damn ears pierced finally.

So since I keep accidentally leaving it out, you pervs keep thinking nipples.

It really is easiest to do both at the same time. You have less time to deal with healing, and get the healing done all at once.

P.S. Edited to add:

Why are you buying the captive ring earrings ahead of time? A good pair of earrings should be included with the price of piercing. Also, if you bring in your own they will need to be autoclaved so they can use them. Are the sets you purchased autoclaved yet?

Years of issue trying to get them pierced, mother has similar issues with metals and healing as I do. So we're using a specific metal, niobium.

Shop has autoclave, natch. Already asked about bringing our own rings.
