Wok Adventures.

J got a mediumish package for his birthday, from his father and stepmonster.
I took it when I met up with him, Friday after last, lasterfriday.

I kept tilting it and listening to it on the bus and while waiting, I thought maybe it was pants and belt, I couldn't make sense of the noises it was making. so we got to our stop for food place, and he opened it. A WOK, and several noodle/rice bowls, cooking spoons and chopsticks. He was startled, a little annoyed, then he opened the card, which contained cashy money.



His family is weird, his mother once sent him a card with money, hidden in a box with packing peanuts and a huge bag of hot tamale candy.

Anyhow, I'M HAPPY ABOUT THE WOK, I've wanted a wok for ages.
Also our frypan is just about dead, so I think I'm just going to wok everything and quit using the pan for now.

I haven't done much cooking, no real cooking at all for a week or so, shit happened, life went topsy.
So over the past few days have nearly got the kitchen back up to snuff,
and made headway into the great reorganisation of cupboards.

TONIGHT I WOK!
Beefs and veggie mess will get wok'd,
(I has the sauce of the hoisen beast, yay)
and I'll attempt some rice, rice and I aren't friends.
I was good at it in a RICE COOKER, but that guy broke ages ago.

I can't do rice either. I have a 6 dollah rice cooker from Wal-Mart and it does ok, but it's never quite right.

I had a fantastic simple little one what died on me.

I just found what I think is the exact same one, on target.com for $19.99 so hopefully I'll be able to get that before too many more weeks.
