hoveringsombreroWell, I'd like to say this was unexpected, but it really wasn't.
Fixy guy went up on the roof, and the a/c unit appears FUBAR'd, apparently. They're going to try a few things over the week, but it seems like it's just killing time as they're waiting the, possibly several weeks, for an entire replacement unit to arrive.
So, in this week, we're to vacate apartment one, the original, and move next door into apartment two.
They're not charging us the usual transfer fee, and also giving us the whole week to move rather than the usual 24 hours that apartment transfers get. We intend to move very orgainised-ly, and not settlesettle and hope maybe we can finagle moving into one of the townhouse units out of this, if one's available. Townhouse = 50 sq feet smaller, $100 cheaper, two levels, and TWO BATHROOMS. Oh luxury of luxuries it would be nice to have two bathrooms again. Also, there's still a lot of stuff I never sorted after we emptied storage, most of which should probably be thrown away, also we can make some better decisions on how much of their furniture we actually want to keep in whatever apartment we end up it. Which should all end up with much more space than before. Easier to orgainise with less stuff.
So it turns out my insomnia was for the best, as I'm going to have to be packing up an apartment with no a/c, the best time to do so is at night, so nocturnal goes eris.
