I use the Firefox browser, with an add-on called adblock. I have the free-with-ads "plus" LJ account. And I never see an ad here. Heh. Doesn't answer the censorship issue, but I never use those features anyway. I'm oldskool. I just read the people and communities I know and like. And to the best of my knowledge, they have not been censored. (How would I know? They'd censor the statements about being censored.)

BTW, I don't know if the astrological community is on a page with me, but old astrological teachings say that each time a new planet is discovered, those of us in the queue with "temporary" ruling planets for our signs (like us Virgos, with Mercury) get our "real" ruling planet. Virgo was next in line, and the "dwarf planet" Eris was discovered recently. (Which was part of how Pluto lost its "planet" status and became a "dwarf planet," which disrupted planetology in an unprecendented and contentious way. Discord, anyone?) Looking back on my life, this makes complete (relative) sense of all of it. Eris threw her golden apple right into the solar system, and into my face. LOL
