It is ever so lovely to wake up IN MY OWN BED,
oh lovely bed I missed you so, mmmmmmbed.
I only got the big bag packed, Friday night,
after shower I was just waaaay too tired.
Found myself sitting on the floor staring at the small bag,
and realised that I'd been sitting there for probably 5 minutes,
and had put one thing in.
It was easy to just toss it together after I woke, though.
So, Curtis took me to the Stockton airport, at about 8:45am, got there little past 9am.
Got my bags and me into the checkin counter line, and said goodbye.
I was having a bitch of a time moving the large bag through the line,
and feeling like a serious wuss, even with the wheels I was having trouble budging the thing.
Finally I got up to the counter, lifted little bag to the checked bags place,
then managed to lift big bag up, about a foot it was. and it hit the scale and went DING!
I thought "oh shit, hope she just won't notice."
No such luck, the damn thing weighed 68lbs! The limit is 50lbs/bag,
so I had to pay an extra $25 in order to take it on the plane,
but at least I didn't feel like as terrible a wuss any longer.
It must have been close or exactly at the limit before, as there wasn't much added.
Plane ride was uneventful, we were scheduled to leave at 11:40 and arrive at 1.
We left at 11:35, and arrived at 12:30, zoomfastflight.
I wasn't in a good or bad mood, just a mehgettheplanerideoverwithandhome.
Didn't talk to seat mate, just watched part of a dvd.
BUT THEN when we started the descent, and got below cloud cover and I saw the desert,
and MY VALLEY, and the edges of the city beginning, it was like instant happy turned on.
I started jabbering with the silly little blonde girl beside me about how happy I was to be home.
Then when we landed and pilot did the whole: "Welcome to Las vegas local time is ..." blah blah blah,
but then got to the part of "... we hope you enjoy your stay in our lovely city,
and if this is home for you, WELCOME HOME!" And I YAYed, aloud, seatmate giggled at me.
I was grinning like a fool, and even though foot was being bitchy,
I was walking ok, and carrying heavyass lappy bag, just striding through the airport,
squished into the tram with strangers, wasn't bothered, too happy.
J had slept through his alarm, I called right when they let us turn fons back on,
and it woke him, he hopped on bus and found me not long after I'd dragged crazy bag and sane bag,
offa the roundy round.
He's very impressed with me, amazed at my keeping up with him even while carrying stuff.
Thinks I look different, and mostly I don't look as sickly and worn down, more energy and such.
It was hungry time, he wanted to go to Jacknbox at first, but there's nothing there I can eat right now,
so we just took the bags straight home and walked over to a close strip mall to check out choices.
Settled on Johnny Rocket's (he'd never been!) after discovering they had vegeburger to sub.
For desert he got a chocolate milkshake to go, and we walked couple stores down to a frozen yogurt shop,
where I got some GREEN TEA frozen yogurt, it was interesting, it grew on me as I ate it.
Then to home and we put my stationary recumbent bike together, and then I tried it out,
and then and then and then and then.....
And then shower, and maltomeal for dinner (need to get groceries),
and unpacking and TV watching, and OMGSLEEPINOWNBED.
So tired I was, and sore, and I figured out why, same reason why 24hour fitness bike kicked my ass first time,
even though it's the same muscles, it's still a different bike, different position,
I was so sore and tired it was hard to sleep even, but I got good sleep, yesyes.
It's either time to go back to sleep,
or get up and get going.
