Lappy updates
Sep. 8th, 2007 03:27 amJdad came through with laptop for J, and It's a lappy! It's a somewhat newer series thinkpad than mine but I can't tell exactly, none of its stickers say so. It's got xp on and I can't manage to find the thinkpad utilities too see information there either. Also its insides seem to be much newer than the chassis.
Speaking of chassis, We located my original one, which as far as I know only has a dc jack issue, and put the hard drive, dvd drive and battery back in. And it won't get past the memory check and thinkpad splash screen. The hard drive sounds like a record player with the needle stuck in the end grooves. He spilt the sody on the far upper left, the absolute farthest point from the hard drive, however just over the dc jack. If it caused a short, I wasn't aware tat a short that small would affect the hard drive? Perhaps just a coincidence?
So he breaks my lappy and gets one of his own for free? Does that seem right to you?

"You oughta be shot. Or stabbed. Lose a leg. To be a surgeon, you know? Know what kind of pain you're dealing with. They make psychiatrists get psychoanalyzed before they can get certified, but they don't make a surgeon get cut on. That seem right to you? "
