State of the eris.
Mar. 20th, 2010 07:05 pmIt is now Day 5 Of Recovery.
And the only thing that's really improved is the hit-by-a-truck muscle pains finally eased. Mornings or wakeups from long naps are pretty hellish, but the rest of the day is slow and pleasant.
I had a few days of mope after getting very frustrated at feeling like this is taking forever. And I felt like I was being a terrible burden and in Josh's way and every little thing was upsetting me. Got pretty down there for a bit.
But then, yesterday the
boyperson and the
girlperson did visit me. And they brought me several tiny ice creams, a Hello Kitty ice pack, some very very lovely tea, and a new (to me) Stephen King book. And they also hung out with me on my bed for a while.
It was exactly what I needed, useful presents and attention. And I've been enjoying the fuck out of all of them, and have been in a much better mood since. It has made me feel a bit less of a lump to get some brain exercise with an interesting book.
I still have plenty of sweet squishy foods left, so I made Josh a small grocery list with some slightly more solid foods of the NON sweet variety. And I am very much looking forward to eating them.
I really am still doing very well, I'm just having trouble finding my patience with this process.
Also, finished half of the antibiotics already, and was finally able to restart the salt water gargles today. So that's some progress, ja?
