In which there is fangirling.
Jul. 6th, 2008 02:39 amOh Russell T. Davies, you magnificent bastard.
The Doctor Who series 4 finale nearly did me in as badly as Torchwood's series two ender.
Good god.
( Cut for spoilers in case there's any fans reading who've not seen it yet. )
And so I'll end with the final words of Russell T. Davies (from the Confidential episode following the finale), who has just ended his last full series as head writer, though he will continue to be on staff. Handing over the reins to (OMG!) Steven Moffat as of the beginning of series 5, in 2010. I assume this means that Davies'll continue to be head writer through the 2009 specials? I have no idea.
"I always think the more you emphasize lonely doctor, the more you come back to what the heart of the series is ... that which is a man traveling through time and space ... in a box."
