Pumpkins scream in the dead of night.

I'm in a sleep an average of four hours at a time pattern that I should be able to break in the next 24, however I'm awake now. And apparently missing the suburbs.

Laying here thinking, the small thing what sleeps on me and rumbles is annoyed that I'm not going back to sleep. Am having fun memories from the stockton house. Pumpkin carving. Some successfully becoming jack o lanterns, some just getting drunkenly smashed before the night is out. Yes it's an irresponsible and wasteful thing to do, but they make such a satisfying pop. (I wanted to destroy something beautiful.) Also, I can't even remember the last time I either lived somewhere where trick or treaters came, or if I did, even being prepared, instead of just leaving the porchlight off.

Sorry kids, I'm old and boring now, apparently, you'll have to get your razor blade apples elsewhere.

Also also, fucking FREE Dethklok concert at 8 on halloween, right near me at UNLV, BUT ONLY FOR STUDENTS WITH VALID STUDENT ID! Fucking suck. You have no idea how much I wanted to see Brenden Small perform Dethklok music in person, there better be videos on the internets!

I suppose that I should give up, put this fon down, turn on my light and read or some such, as I don't think I'll be catching sleep for another while.

Welcome to the land of the dead.

The power went out for a whole chunk around us, I've never seen so many people outside their apartments here, met my upstairs neighbor and chatted with him a bit till J got home. Now we're just sitting around in candlelight with the front door open. People are outside chatting, and I can hear at least one concert going over the border in the land of the living. I wonder what happened, I wonder if the doubledown is dark, it's in the dark area. Also it looks as if UNLV has fallen into a black hole.
