Today J received by fedex from his famblee,
a new motherboard and memory.

I still have some doubts about his hard drive,
but since the new equipment is still under warentee,
I've gone ahead and assembled it and am going to test it with existing hard drive anyway.
Later tonight, or more probably tomorrow.

The new motherboard is quite large,
and it just barely fit into his case.
It required some cussing to get it in.

In this house, the girl puts the computers together.
And if I can get it to work with existing hard drive,
then he's getting linux, until or if his step-dad sends him xp,
or until he just gets use to it.
