Me = productive.

Had a pleasant but overdue conversation with mother on the phone this morning,
in which she extracted a promise that I call and wish the grandmother happy birthday.

Got stuck in traffic but managed to pay the power bill on time,
to keep the ever so very lovely cold air flowing.
Made J a little late for work but he has understanding bosses.
Home, paid the vonage bill.

Placed the birthday call, spoke with the grandfather a bit,
had the phone handed to the grandmother in the shower,
more lucid than expected and seemed very very happy to hear from me,
made with the wishes of a happy birthday.
Then talked to the grandfather again for a bit.

Rather lovely conversation all told,
no overwhelming awkardness.

I feel all accomplishfull,
now for some stir fry, some ess.tv and then some sleep.
