Mother's family.

So,
my mother had to cut her high school reunion vacation short as her mother (back in closer to me bits of AZ) fell and broke several bits of her person, including part of her pelvic bone, I believe.

Mother is very bothered by this happening right after she leaves,
and seems to feel somewhat responsible for it,
as if her leaving somehow contributed to it.

I have the feeling that things like this are going to start happening more frequently,
her mother's old, and increasingly more accident prone.

I'm not one to lecture another on not taking responsibility for things obviously out of your control.
pot, kettle, black and all that.
There's just no nice, comforting way to say; "look, your mother's old, shit's bound to happen, it's not your fault."
Maybe there is and I'm too emotionally inept to comprehend.
