something just occurred to me

i have an old friend
she'd been dating the same guy for many years
last year guy up and dumped her
granted there were issues
but i'm wondering if something else wasn't also a factor

recently she'd gained a small measure of infamy
some of it just guilt by association
some people in a similar business
whom she'd slightly fangirl'd about
have noticed her

so they hang out
go to crazy parties,
she even moved to be closer.

one wonders if maybe guy felt pushed aside by this
maybe he wished she'd get as excited to see him.
