well my motherboard decided to take a shit
it just refused to turn back on
when i woke up i fucked with it
nothing
everything else powers up but nothing happens
then peanut pointed out that the board smelled like hot, and burney
and there were some spots on it

ass.
so frankenstiened his back together and no go
his motherboard works but it won't boot from the floppy or the cdrom to reinstall
i go into cmos and tell it to, and it recognizes nothing in any drive
no matter what disk put in.

so! curtis is going to send his old computer which is mostly working
and trying to see if J will overnight send one he's not using

we're in the rental office in the "Business Center" on their computers.
this computer i'm typing on is filthy with virii
they don't keep a very good eye on this shit.

so if anyone's got any motherboards or computer parts ya don't need send 'em this way, email me i'll get it eventually or i'll have a friend check it.

I need to get a back-up laptop, after this one died two weeks ago...a mobile compouter doctor said my harddrive died but later foujd out my CMOS battery died, easily fixed.

What is CMOS and its battery?

I just got the doofos mobile computer doctor to agree to refund the $50 I paid him to come out here and in five minutes tell me the wrong diagnosis.
