i was reading through mock_the_stupid and it made me think of something stupid i do.

my brain has misfiring synapses sometimes, i try to do things in the wrong order sometimes
my brain is a constant babble of a list when i'm doing things,

for example if i go into the kitchen to make a sandwich my brain is rambling:
open fridge
get sandwich insides
put on counter
get bread
get plate
etc.

you get the idea,
this isn't a front brain thing this is just the constant running stuff
another part tries to arrange things to maximize productivity
in the sandwich example, making sure i do things in such an order,
so that i only have to make one trip back to the fridge to put away.

well!
about 50% of the time i leave in car to go somewhere, it goes like this:

unlock backdoor to garage
open it, step through
push open garage door button
lock backdoor behind me
get in car
start car
turn on AC
close moon roof and windows
close garage door with remote clicker
back out

i always stop myself as hand is reaching for the clicker
it will NOT save time to close the garage door BEFORE i've driven the car out.
maybe someday it will?
