so i'm woken at 9ish by loud people in the back yard
banging
drilling
i'm hoping they're just replacing landlady's washer or something
it's taking forever
i keep drifting back to sleep to be woken by more yelling or construction noise

thinking please don't let it be the water heater
then right before i need to get up they decide to have a conversation directly outside my paperthin back door about how they're not going to finish it today they need to remember to call landlady and tell her they'll be back tomorrow >:(
so, my hair is ick i really really want a hot shower

i got turn on the hot water in kitchen to see ..
cold cold cold sputter, big nasty noises cold cold sputter.

FUCK!
oh so nice of my landlady to warn me, hey?
she probably did try to call my home phone .. again
when i'd gotten back from vacation there was a note about her trying to contact me
repeatedly but my phone just rang and rang.
*sigh*
every single time i leave her a note it includes my CELL PHONE NUMBER
which is with me all the time.

with my rent i'd left her another note which once again reminded her i sleep during the day
so my home phone is never plugged in. and i put my cell fon nbr in it 4 times and circled them.

and here we are
no hot water
greesy icky hair.

bleh.

Do you have a bathtub? Fill it about halfway with cold then heat water on the stove in pots and pour it in the tub until it's warm enough to wash your hair.
