i can try, it's a concept that i can only try half-assed analogies of, it's thoughts without words, i wish i could take a "picture" of it and shove it into other people's brains and make them understand ... alas
ok, for the sake of this explanation attempt lets assume we all believe in a soul
(not that i don't but some people get stuck on that bit)
every body has a soul, in a similar way everybody has love.
love shouldn't be given or taken, love should be shared.
your love is triggered by things, but it's always there.
similar to if you see/do something you like then you feel happy, your happy is always there, just sometimes it's triggered.
what is perceived as being "in love", in the most true sense, is when person A and person B share love equally, or at least at the same time. some people's loves mix well in the sharing, some are volatile mixes and should probably have not tried to mix. sharing is not always foolproof.
trying to GIVE or TAKE love is when things get stupid and unhealthy
it's possible to do but potentially damaging
it diminishes your love, and you either need to recover (love usually eventually regrows) or develop an obsessive need to take love from the person you gave it to.
so the most accurate thing for me to say would be
I love.
I am love.
Love is.
sometimes it's nice to qualify the first with a "you" or a "him/her" or a thing
but it doesn't make it any more or less valid just makes it more personal.
some people are so ingrained in the give and take that SHARE sounds not as .. real or true or weighty enough of a concept for what is being felt.
so eris of the 1001 analogies
let's pretend love is a bed ;)
which is better, sharing the bed or giving the bed away?
