playing with mother's camera

so, kal and i helped mother buy a scanner and a digital camera today

a visioneer one touch 8100 scanner
and a cannon powershot A10

she had some in store credit, also the scanner was a floor model and the camera was clearance, so i think she ended up paying about $68 for it all including warrantee packages for both

i cannot get the program which grabs pictures off of the memory stick to find the camera, but i got the program with which you can take pictures while the camera is attached to the computer, working

so i attempted to take a couple pictures of my hair
i didn't do too well but it's something
also my hair is a mess and it's mostly only the light from the flash
mother would have me say ignore the stuff on the desk behind me in the last picture if she knew i was posting these
it takes pictures in 1280 x 960 pixels

my hair is naturally dark brown
so yes it's dye
but my natural colour isn't solid(natrual light and reddish streaks), and when going for a normal or professional look, i look best in solid colours.

tho the flash may have made it a bit more shiney than reality
and it looks like i'm going grey because i had white streaks in my hair and i've only dyed it once so even a permanat dye fades a bit the first time

i'm probably going to put a black cherry on it when i have the money so it'll be black with reddish highlights
