well it's still cold
but :(

i was looking for hours of petSmart cause i was thinking about going over there and looking at kittens for fun
but just had a conversation with spanky where he pointed out how hopeless having a pet is cause they just die

now i'm sad and i think i'll just go back to bed

It isnt hopeless having a pet. They bring you much joy and happiness while they are alive. I have had 9 wonderful years with my one cat... the other one I just got a couple of months ago. I will always have animals. It is hard when they die.. it is just like losing a family member... but its worth the many years of having them around. PLus its better to know you have given one a home that could be in a shelter or have been euthanised if you hadnt taken it in :)

Maybe it is just too soon for you to get one since the recent death of Hobbes. But if you decide to.. dont feel guilty. You wont be replacing him... It will be a whole new relationship... and your memories of Hobbes will always be there :)

I was saying that is one of the reasons i dont like having pets, cause you get attached and they die
that stemmed from the whole "My mom is putting my cat to sleep" thing, remember?
