Uh, they are using Paxil as an excuse for a troubled kid. After TWO days on it you don't have any chemical changes yet. It takes 3-6 weeks to have an effect on your system.

a troubled man

and paxil doesn't have the prescribed effect for a few weeks; I noticed other changes right away. For the first month I felt like a zombie.

indeed, agreeing with bob
paxil worked for me nearly instantly
was assumed i noticed it instantly because i was rather severly depressed, it freaked me out i actually tried to be sad for 2 days and failed

however once it let me think and i started dealing with things myself and didn't need it it starting making me rather psycotic, ask kal

no one's attacking you qt
a lot of those medications do take a while to achieve the 'prescribed effect'
but some people it affects them instantly
usually when it affects them instantly it's a bad effect

I havent had a bit of problems taking paxil. Other then decreased sex drive.. blah! and and increased sweating.
Its like Prozac... to some it is like a wonder drug.. to others it makes them insane and violent. My dreams seem to be more intense since I have been on paxil.

indeed
for the people it truely helps (as well as other drugs) it's a wonderful thing
i've just known too many people that such drugs have done way more harm than good
my point being (as said in topic) doctors need to be more carefull

the average doctor would rather just throw pills at you then find out what's causing the problems

Wow...I've been taking Paxil for over a year now. Besides the drowsiness I endured at the beginning, I haven't noticed much difference really. I'm doing much better these days, but I feel it has a lot more to do with therapy than anything. Oh, and moving out on my own :-)

Testing, testing, 1-2-3. . .

My boyfriend was a test case for Paxil. They shot him up with 2 to 3 times the reccommended maximum dosage (my MOM is on the maximum dosage, and she weighs 300 pounds, my boyfriend weighed a buck 30 at best at the time) and he said he seriously wanted to hurt everyone he saw for anything they did. He won't use any medication now because of how bad he was messed up on Paxil.

I know that for some people (like my mom) it works wonders. . . but I know WAY too many people who were just fucked up on the drug.

Thanks for posting this article, by the way.
