NO NO NO, not hide the sausage damnit! it's STILL not that game! would you quit guessing that, it's never right

NAME THAT SONG!

i think the first one is pretty hard i will be horribly impressed if you get it
(1.)
Light a candle, light a votive. Step down, step down.
Watch your heel crush, crushed, uh-oh, this means no
fear cavalier. Renegade steer clear! A tournament,
tournament, a tournament of lies. Offer me solutions,
offer me alternatives and I decline.

i'd get this on one line, you should too:
(2.)
I said, "I don't have a license but I drive very well, officer"

this one is either very easy or very hard, depending on who you are >:)
(3.)
It's not your fault that you're always wrong
the weak ones are there to justify the strong

seems easy to me, Fade should get this one if she reads this:
(4.)
Waiting like a stalking butler
who upon the finger rests.
Murder now the path called "must we"
just before the son has come.
Jesus, won't you fucking whistle
something but the past and done?

that's all you get, guess now

me too, and i still love that song
it's a generation thing i think
"when rap was fun and silly and parents hated it just as much as they do now"

i actually typed all that before i saw the other answers. due to a freak livejournal mishap, my comment form was erased and i had to type it all in a second time. but i didn't look at the other answers first.

funny, my boyfriend and i were walking down the street once, and that song came up. i broke into the rap and did the whole thing. he was incredibly impressed, and frankly, a little weirded out. :)

While I have the REM, M.M., and Tool albums (although, frankly, I didn't recognize any of the lyrics), I am on the "other side" of Rap ... it was amusing when it first broke (Run-DMC, Beastie Boys, even some of the early LA "G" outfits), but it was something that SHOULD have lasted 2-3 years and gone away ... instead of being the putrid festering sore that is has become, tainting damn near every popular song these days.

But ah well. can't prove that, now. heh.
