is it ok to use superglue near electronics, on plastic next to insulated wires?

reason, my first cam, a parallel quickcam has had a kinda broken cord for some time, as you can see in the picture, i wish i could just glue the outside plastic part of the cord to the body of the cam, but glue doesn't sound safe if i accidentally get some inside, as you can also see i have been holding it together with electrical tape as there is still black stuff where the tape was, but that seems to be only a temporary solution
(picture broken and missing)

also kal got me the most amazing little things, they're called pocket tripods! they make the quickcams look like strange electronic animals and they're so much sturdier and more practical than the stupid bases they come with, the thing the camera body sits exactly on swivels and turns all sorts of angles and the little knob thing on the side locks it into whatever position you put it in =D

heh

That is the same tripod I have been using for a year now, they rock!!

My first quick cam the wires came out too. It eventually died and I am sure from the wires being loose like that. I think if you are careful and first put a tiny bit of electrical tape around those wires before you stuff them back in to the camera and then use a tiny bit of glue will not hurt it. Just make sure when it is drying to not tip it so the glue goes inside the camera but rather drains out. You know, so the hole is facing the floor when you are fixing it

Ah ...
