hoveringsombreroI managed to drift back for a bit of sleep, then when my fon alarm went off at 9, I was quite confused as what the hell the sound was, at first. But I figured it out, turned it off, and stumbled out to J's bed.
I walked up to the foot of his bed and said: "Beep. Beep beep beep, beepbeep, beep beep, beep."
He rolled over, half sat up, blinked at me confusedly and said: "What the hell are you doing?"
I said: "I'm beeping."
He replied: "Why are you beeping?"
I said: "I'm your alarm clock, the power went out for a while this morning, so I'm being your alarm clock."
He freaked out for a moment, thinking he'd slept in, I explained the times of the outage to him, and that it was the proper time for waking.
He said: "Wow, thanks, you really are useful for a lot of things, aren't you?"
Got him up and off to work, and I attempted to go back to sleep. To backtrack, I'd gone to bed somewhat after 11, had taken one sleepy pill when I did so (half the recommended dose), was woken abruptly at 5 by the power going off, got little over an hour more of sleep after it came back on.
Wasn't falling back to sleep, so I took half of another sleeping pill, expecting, and wishing, to only sleep about 3 or so more hours.
WOKE 16 MINUTES AGO. Ugh.
Luckily I tracked down some chapstick stuff, and remembered to put it on before sleep,
cause these otc sleepy pills dry me out something awful, and I wake with cracked lips.
At least I avoided that this time.
