Here's the best video I found on youtube of the demolition of the stardust,
at about 2:30am this morning.

I had totally forgot to pay attention to when this was happening,
I'm surprised that I didn't hear the fireworks and such.
Am rather upset that I missed it. =(

It was old, that's how vegas works.
Any chance to implode a building they'll take it.

Actually, I believe that it's cheaper to demolish and rebuild then to upkeep past a certain point.

I'm beginning to think that there are no hotels left in Vegas that I've spent any time in ... it's been a long while since I've been out there, of course, the last time I was at the old Aladdin (to give you a time frame).

I guess there are still places where I've lost money ... the one with the volcano ... the one with the pirate ship ...

Do they still have that wonderful Buddhist shrine outside at Caesar's Palace? That was such a nice place to go and chill and pretend that one was in Sri Lanka for a few minutes.

Hmmm ... I think the only place that's still standing that I've stayed at is the Union Plaza ... they did tear down and replace the old Vegas World hotel, right, or is that just a "wing" on the new place?

I've spent very little time actually on the strip in my nearly 3 years here.
