Ugh

So, was flipping through channels looking for a movie to watch, settled on The Uninvited which was already about 15 minutes in. Was only partially paying attention to it but suddenly it started seeming familiar.

To my shock and dismay I discover that it is an awful remake of my favourite Korean horror movie of all time, Janghwa, Hongryeon (A Tale of Two Sisters).

If it wasn't a remake it would be a pretty standard American horror flick, but they seriously took all the scary out of it if you compare it to Two Sisters. UGH UGH UGH. The girlghost appearing from under the sink part isn't even scary at all, and they end the remake with a stupid little pat explanation about how Su-Mi Anna was just crazy the whole time. Which is only strongly implied in the original, never confirmed.

Absolutely confirming things like this at the end, completely ruins films of this sort for me.
