Hello journal, hello friends.
May. 14th, 2010 01:15 amMeant to make a big post last weekend but I've been pretty much doing nothing but working. Haven't even really been talking to my Mudgiepie, so I'm hoping we've both just been busy rather than me accidentally ignoring her.
The boyperson came over last weekend and I finally got to watch Slammin' Salmon, which I had been looking forward to and he fortunately caught me *just* before intending to watch it and asked me to wait. It was pretty great, I do not know why they only did a tiny limited theatrical release, it was totally worthy of a wide release. Who knows, maybe a funding issue. I hope it sells well on DVD, they deserve it.
And then we both fell asleep in my bed! I am some sort of violated and unvirgined there. I do not believe that I have ever slept alone (as in just myself and the boy) in the same bed with a male person with whom I have not had sex. That was a first, apparently. When we woke we watched another EXCELLENT FLICK called Midnight Meat Train. It was FUCKING BRILLIANT, it was as if Clive Barker's brain and the Silent Hill games had a baby and that movie was it. If you like psychological thriller/horror, YOU MUST WATCH IT, DO NOT GOOGLE OR WIKI IT, JUST GET IT. Do eet, or I won't like you anymore. Unless you absolutely cannot deal with any sort of scary movie, in which case you get a pass and I still love you <3.
There is nothing that I did not love about the film. The script was excellent, the blocking and editing were amazingly beautiful, the plot was perfectly timed, just amazing.

And then today, the girlperson and I attempted to go to one of the pre-opening events of the newest Sweet Tomatoes location here in the valley, but there was a HYOOOJ line that was beginning to wrap around the building as we pulled up. So we just left and went to an already open one a bit further away.
Near which was a Jo-anne fabric, so after we went inside there and fondled many pretty fabrics and left unsatisifed. We did go down a few doors into the PetSmart and gaze upon the kitties for adoption. That particular PetSmart only carries the fatties, apparently. All the cats were hugelarge (but I totally forgot to snap any photos)!
And then home, my brain began to wander on my plan to raise my bed with concrete blocks, and as dinner for the Joshman was baking I sat on the balcony, on a milk crate hanging out with miss kitty, pondering this. And it suddenly occurred to me that I have a bunch of said milk crates and they are damn sturdy fuckers. So after the Joshman was fed, I gathered them up, and put them under my bed!
Totall success, totally sturdy, totally awesome. A bit higher than I was expecting so I put the steps next to it.
There's no pictures in this entry cause I don't fucking feel like it. Maybe later. And just because I apparently haven't said fuck enough in this entry, have another, FUCK! =D
