I earned my keep today!

Mister J-man slept right through his alarm,
and he didn't have a ride today,
he slept WAY past possible to take a bus.

I didn't realise he didn't have a ride,
so I was startled when he comes bursting out of his room,
at nearly 3pm (he works at 4), all freaked out.

He tried calling usual ride guy anyway but he was way too far away,
helping their friend move still.
So I said: "Dude, you got paid last night, you've got the money, fuckin call a cab,
it's worth it to not be late to work!"

So he did, after forever on hold cab said 30 to 45 minutes,
which was still cutting it insanely close,
but cab arrived at just before :30, rang his fon,
I ran for his fon but missed it (no caller id),
he was still getting dressed so I ran downstairs,
barefoot and bra-less in the slinky dressthing I'd slept in,
flagged down cabguy before he drove off,
(burnt my poor feetses in the process)
and held him till J got downstairs.

Cabguy got him to work at just around 3:50,
he had time to smoke first, even.

I get taken out to dinner tonight after work,
cause I'm the best housewife EVAR.
=D

Speaking of housewife, I gotta sort socks, do more laundry,
and do dishes, excitement is me, heh.
