I've been up all night editing.
A TWO MINUTE VIDEO.

And when I say I've been up all night editing.
I really mean I've been up all night watching windowsshittymaker crash.
And sitting through rendering time,
and uploading to youtube,
and then discovering something wrong,
and fixing it, and waiting for render,
and uploading to youtube,
and discovering my carefully timed fade out got cut off,
by youtube.
And then watching the editing program crash, again.

Again I bitch about the thing,
which I knew to be inferior software,
and really have no right to bitch.

I'm getting it to do what I want,
just have to remember to save every five seconds.

It doesn't give me tight enough control over the audio,
but I've managed to mostly get around that.
Some more precise things I can't do,
because I can't say to it:
"at 54 seconds of clip 2 begin playing specified song starting at 15.33 seconds of the song clip and ending at 34.89 seconds of the song clip"
Glory be, that would be nice.

Frame by frame control would also be nice.
Alas, alas.

So I've got two new videos sitting in private mode,
the 2 minute one that I spent my whole night on,
will likely be posted here later today.

I lie a little about the ALL NIGHT,
there was also rebooting,
and spitefully turning my back on it and reading.

I bitch, but it's totally worth it,
to look at a bunch of clips, see how I want them to end up in my head,
and then make it reality.

I've ordered things from jlist.com before
and consequently got on the mailing list.
Which has been THE most entertaining and interesting malling list ever.

The guy who runs the site will tell little stories and facts before the whole:
"and here's the new products this week!!" bit.

For example, this is from the most recent newsletter:

It's hard to keep up with anime trends in Japan, since they're always in motion. The newest boom in otaku culture seems to be "tsundere" (TSOON-deh-reh), a word that describes girls who are cranky and quick to anger (in Japanese, tsun-tsun) on the surface, yet loving and vulnerable when it suits them (known as "dere-dere," pronounced deh-reh deh-reh). A staple in anime and PC dating-sim games, some famous tsundere characters include Asuka from Evangelion, Akane from Ranma 1/2, Sanae from The Sagara Family (who has a tendency to punch the main character violently at any provocation), and if you ponder it long enough, Princess Leia from Empire. Like cat girls, waitress uniforms and French Maid costumes, tsundere is closely tied to the Cult of Akihabara and "moe" (mo-EH) culture that has become such a big part of modern Japanese life.

Now instead of passively watching your favorite rough-around- the-edges character in anime, you can experience her in the flesh at a new "Tsun-Cafe" which features beautiful waitresses who insult customers, acting frustrated when they take too long to order and yelling things like, "Here's your coffee. Drink it quickly and get out of here, will you?" But when it's time to leave, the girls look sad, and say, "Oniichan, I'm sorry I said those awful things to you. You will come again, right?"

I'm telling you it's over
Now there's an angel
Holding me
My way's easy
Even if you're fallen
Oh you're struggling
There's still beauty
In what we do

So Que sera,
Let's go sailing on
There's a wise man
In every fool

The J-man and I go to the grocery store,
we see many sorts of squash.
A blood pressure machine tries to steal my arm,
and maybe I escape.
