TOOT motherfucker TOOT
yeah fuckers, all that office and relay operator work paid off.
as far as i know i'm the only one that got hired there today
first interview, second interview, third interview = job offer
all in one day, dude told me process was accelerated for me, that it usually takes much longer.
they push a few people through the process that they KNOW right off they want to hire.
in about 15 people, from what i saw only another girl and me got to the second interview.
i hope she was hired too, she was nice.
they start at $10.50, i was offered 11.00 base with a 10% shift differential after training
7 weeks of paid training, can you believe that?
looooong time
peanut did not get hired, peanut did not get a second interview (yet?)
peanut is mad at me, so i'm trying to be very quiet
this would be the first time in eris journal history in which i am telling current workplace
BOFA!
for that matter prior to this i worked for MCI as a california relay operator
i was hired by GC Services who were then subcontracted by MCI to fulfill the CRS contract.
prior to that i was a front desk clerk at days inn on mchenry in modesto
prior to that lots of temp work,
etc etc etc.
so now you know
and YAY MONSTER.COM!!!!

somewhere along the way i became an adult
now don't that suck big fat hairy donkey balls?
can i take it back?
i realized today, in all my interviews, that i no longer think of other people as THE ADULTS and me as a child.
as i was sitting across the desk, kicking ass ... i realized that i was their equal.
i'm a little distressed at this discovery
and i cannot pinpoint when it happened.
nearly all my time at MCI i believe that the bosses were THE ADULTS
however that may be due to the fact that their management style is to treat employees like unruly children.
maybe that's how it slipped by me.
i don't know what to think about this.
