i don't know how long it would have stayed connected, but i was doing memory intensive things,
basically clicking thru pages of a calendar program faster than it wanted to go and i knocked myself offline
i was expecting it when i saw how what i was doing was affecting other things

well the time it was at before it disconnected was:

i just realized i'd been staring blankly and continued writing this post inside my head
i'm so tired, my ass hurts from sitting
i've been doing hair since i got home from work around 2am

but i'm going to play dead now for several hours,
