i have long been a pretty avid supporter of IE
because it's worked the best for me since version 4 (i think)
well as of the last upgrade IT'S BEEN A HUGE STINKING PILE OF CRAP
crashes at least once every 5 mins, sometimes as many as 7 times immediately in a row
on the desktop at least
on the laptop the upgrade fixed some issues so still IE there

but i've now turned to opera
it was grg actually who first introduced me to opera, but at the time IE was working the best for me so i just kept IE as my primary, it's been a hard drive or two since then.

so i downloaded and installed, friend gave me a keygen, and i'm OPERA-RIFIC
there's many nifty features which are either new or i hadn't explored enough previously to discover
and the best thing is NO CRASHY so far :)

i don't know exactly why i got so tired last night
but it was pretty funny

i woke up to an apt sans mexican (he had to go pick up his mother from the airport)
then when i finally dragged my ass outta bed and sat in chair he came walkin in the door

and then he comes in and says "i wanna out and go to the gamey store to pick up a land speeder and i want to get you food, because i've already eaten and you're probably hungry"

isn't he sweet? =D hehehe

AND he also placed a copy of the sims in front of me
and didn't explain where it came from
this is nifty because i've been wanting to have it again
and everytime i look at it in the store i see all the expansions i want too ... and it 's just too horribly expensive

still want myst III, i had to choose between that and jay and silent bob on DVD

and the store didn't have the dye i wanted so i have to put up with orange and red and pink hair (i didn't use manic panic last time and it faded quickly and oddly)

so kal said i could get anything i want since he'd already eaten
and chilli's is right by the gamey store

so i went in there, while he was in gamey store, and had adventures at their nearly non-existent take away counter
i'm use to chilli's having separate entrance for take away.

it was right next to the bar so while i waited for mah fud i got to listen to the bartender tell an interesting story, which i later repeated to kal, which i'm wondering is interesting enough to type out here

so here is my food which is now slightly less warm because, being the psycho camwhore i am, i had to take pictures of, and label it all before i ate it ;)

a nice thing

nice to be able to know when it's lj trouble or my browsers trouble
because so far opera has displayed none of the issues that IE was giving me
so when lj is slow loading i know it's lj and not my stupidass browser being confused

first time stuff

i like some of these interesting surveys, and i always read when kryten does it and i'm always pleased when i see her or someone else put something like this behind a cut

i just freaked out the anny cat
she was being all curious at the door when i came back from helping kal carry his guys out to the car so he could go play warhamster

and there was two cats in the window of the clowncarofapartments across the way
so i picked her up and we walked outside
she went crazy sniffy big eyed shakey, still with a little purr so more curious then frightened
we said hi to the cats in the window
then we saw cat on sidewalk which was sniffing in our direction
so anny sniffed in it's direction

then nice shy old guy with cats who is constantly in slippers came out of his apt and his slipper noise freaked out anny
so she attempted to crawl over me back to the apt, so i took her back inside

i like the tiny opera logo, if you haven't noticed opera makes me very happy, i didn't realize quite how much IE was pissing me off until i'm no longer dealing with it

the cord is much to short to reach my ears without me bending over all funny, so i just turn the volume all the way up and they sit on my lap. they had fallen to the floor, and then there were tiny sounds coming from my floor which was kind of disturbing.
one of these days i need to remember to clean my desk when kal is around and hook up speakers
i dunno where they are myself, and it's more then just standard speakers, there's a big bass thing too and stuff. and he hasn't explained to me what hooks to what and i didn't make it work properly last time. i just plugged in what looked right but the bass thing never worked, it looked right to him so i'm not a complete idiot.
we'll just let him fuck with it this time. yup

anny is snuggled up asleep on me
i'm leaning back in my chair so her body is sprawled out down my torso and her head is shoved, purring, under my chin

it's making me sleepy
contented cat, with contented snuggle purr

she needs to be like this more often
but she does this often enough that it nearly makes up for the foot/arm/ASS attacking

i've got a small bruise on my arm from her ambush attacking the same spot over and over
and i finally figured out why

it happens when i've got a short sleeved shirt on and she sees the bottom of the lower tattoo
i discovered this because i was sitting here sans shirt the other day and she sneak attacked the tats themselves

then i remembered that she use to chase and attack a tattoo on dave's leg

so after anny made me sleepy i sat down to read
naturally my stupid ass passed out (along with the rest of me)

i was awoken by the phone, couldn't figure out what the noise was until the answering machine picked up (yup we got an answering machine yay)
so i staggered out to the answering machine, played the message:

"hey this is your mother, are you there? ....... call me"

i'm thinking "that doesn't sound like my mother" then i realize it's kal's mother
then i realize that it's the sort of answering machine that you must do something mid message to save the message or it erases

"oh well, i'll just tell him" i think

so i wander off, the phone rings again, i think "that's his damn mother again, and she sounded annoyed the first time, so i'm not answering it" so i walk out and sit down to listen when it picks up

this time she identified who's mother she was, and said she left a plastic bag with an address book in it in our truck and he needs to call her back RIGHT AWAY because she needs it!!!

well kal is out playing warhamster at the gamey store, i *could* find the number and call the store ... but i doubt he's going to leave his game and drive all the way to stucktown right now, so she must wait.

can any opera users tell me this

is there a way to merge the window tabs (vertical arrow) bar with the buttons bar (horizontal arrow)?
yes i realize that i can put the window tab bar elsewhere, and that it would not be there if i were to choose the separate windows option.
