n00dleboy just reminded me

last Saturday (hmm no, probably the saturday before) he and i got food at a chinese place called HO HO and they took FOREVER to make our food
while we were waiting we watched these huge stupid yellow fish in the tank

they would swim down to the bottom of the tank, grab a bunch of little pebbles in their mouths and suck on them then spit them out one at a time, as funny as this was we figured it was probably normal fish behavior, probably eating the algae or something

the funny part was the one fish that kept falling over, damn thing would start swimming off, the slowly drift onto his side and have to wiggle around to get upright
i didn't know fish could FALL OVER

we giggled a lot

stupid eris didn't sleep again
i was up all night looking at rental prices

the drive is horribly getting to kal, so i tired once again to find something closer, even being willing to look at studio apts
there's nothing. nothing. nothing.
so i think ok, if i can't shorten his drive perhaps i can just find him cheaper rent
so i find a shitload of cheaper places in sac

then after staying up all night looking at that i remember another problem
we can't move to another place here, they think he lives in the bay area, and to try to move they'd call his work to verify income

i'm just trying to get him unstressed and less depressed but it looks like this is beyond my control, i can't figure out what to do
i guess i could just turn into a horribly attentive japanese housewife
*sigh*
i just have this unending need to try to fix things for people i care about
just very frustrating when i can't

conflict .. obscure

kal and i are in serious disagreement on a planned project that i'm very insistent upon doing
it's much far down on my list of planned things

and obviously i need to get back on track of finishing what i start before i get that far down the list

i try to consider his opinions especially when i disagree with him because it's always good to consider other sides
i think his main concern is my timing
we all know my timing sucks

say for example the project was large sculptures of skyscrapers engulfed in flames, it would be bad timing for me to unveil that say the day after the WTC disaster
but conversely say a week after a similar happening would have a greater impact
but pointedly the subject matter is pulling enough that there's no need to capitalize

so yes, a concern is to not even accidentally use a similar real life event to 'help' the project
people are going to draw their own similarities no matter how i much i try to avoid it
