updates and updates

well first a run-down of yesterday;

we got into the area in time to drive around a bit to find a bookstore or something to leave me at 'cause we didn't know how long he'd be, and we found this GIGANTIC mall, and naturally like all good sized malls it had a theatre so we decided that a movie would be a nice easy way for me to pass the time, so he bought me a ticket to Snatch, and we decided which court in the mall to meet at(they were named and themed) and he left, so i wandered around the mall for about 10mins and then headed back to the theatre, went in and found a seat and got settled.....

the projector fucked up, the heads were cut off, people went to complain, 15 mins of the movie went by and then the picture adjusted correctly, big popping sounds from the projection room, the picture vibrated then shut off. after a couple promises of "just 5 more minutes" they came back and told us they couldn't fix it, so i got my money back and went into the mall

i found the court we were to meet at, it had a big spiffy fountain and looked like the deck of a big ship, i wandered back and forth from that a bit, then decided to look for a bookstore to buy a book to sit by the fountain and read, so i walked around the whole mall, took me a half an hour, NO FUCKING BOOKSTORE!

i was tired, so i settled myself by the fountain to wait,

the movie was meant to start at 12:10pm
after it fucked i walked around the mall till a bit after 1:00pm
i sat at the fountain till kal showed up...

AT FOUR PM

bored i was

on the way to the mall he had passed the freeway we'd take home, and it was totally stopped, bumper to bumper, and nearly 4 (i guess Friday is worse)

so we went back to the theatre to see if they'd fixed Snatch, they had.
so i got to see it, it was very good, i liked it a lot
i still haven't seen a movie in a theatre alone, hehe

after movie, onto freeway, which wasn't much better, took forever to get home
stupid Friday traffic

am i obsessed?

from the flea market today, first is all of the cameras together:


ok we'll start with bigest first, first is a VHS video camera that doesn't seem to have a brand name anywhere,
closest i can figure is a fancy HQ in one corner, it appears to work,
its heads may need cleaning and it came in the big case in the background of the first:



next is a big RCA camera, it seems to have no tape or powersupply,
only one cord that looks like an old VCR connection,
we are assuming that it's meant to record to and get its power from a VCR:



and last but best condition is a 35mm still camera,
the leather case is in amazing condition as well as the camera(am i an ebay ad?) and it may still have film,
we're not entirely sure how the film door opens:


oh and i got something for Cydniey at the flea market today too
ooo what could it be? >:)
