Bra elves.

Normally our natural psycho-kinetic powers are sufficient to keep them at bay, but when you are tired, your telekinetic powers weaken and the elves are free to wreak havoc with your straps.

As for your nails, everyone knows that painting your nails is like putting a lead box around your head. Stops telekinetic powers cold. That's why Jean Gray never paints her nails.

I understand the light heartedness of you post but I must say:
With all due respect, I believe that means you have to take the intiative and shorten them straps a bit. Perhaps it is time for a proper bra fitting my dear. I do it once a year and have no bra issues as a result and i do massage for a living.
