I have been convinced for a long time that myspace is making people retarded. I think there is some kind of mind melting delta waves in the animated images people post to each other pages that causes one's mental state to deteriorate to the point where you are ultimately only capable of communicating with sparkly animated images of teddy bears holding balloons.
