..you expect to be victimized, you will always be a victim
..you expect people to oppress you, you will always be oppressed
..you expect the person you date to mistreat you, you doom yourself to a life of bad relationships and abuse(with a few exceptions)
no this is not "look at how she was dressed! she was asking for it"
this is:
you create your own reality
this does not mean the abuse and oppression is your fault
this however does mean you have the power to keep it from happening
it's like animals in the wild that sense FEAR
if you expect bad things, then bad things are likely to be attracted to you

Remember the story about her showing some guy her tits? Some random guy wanted to see her tits because she told him she'd had implants. She of course showed them to him, to which he replied by whipping it out and "pointing it" at her. Ana in turn runs away frightened. There were many threads after that about whether people ask for such things to happen to them. Ana's response was that she should be able to be naked without being acosted for it. Not quite rational thinking where I come from. I love her to death, but she focuses a lot on what should be rather than what is.
