Yesterday was a weird day.

I slept very late yesterday because I was up so late due to the ridiculous amount of sleep I finally got in a row the night prior.

So I was pretty tired all day, just decided to take it easy. Except I was actually HUNGRY for the first time since surgery, and awful constant cravings and I felt like I was eating constantly all day. I had decided to attempt to sleep early, but Josh came home and made his food and the smell started driving my stomach crazy. So I got up and had some tots and chili, and that didn't seem to do it so I had a little ice cream, and that didn't seem to help either, STILL HUNGRY OMG.

It was really exactly like the first day on a steroid treatment. I have no idea what was up. I used to be a big eater when I was skinny, so maybe tonsils out has kicked my metabolism back in proper working order? I don't know. Maybe it's just the healing + period, again. I DON'T EVEN KNOW.

So it got to be nearly 1am and I was going nuts. I was seriously stomping around and whining, I was hungry and there was nothing in the house I wanted to eat. I tried to convince Josh to run me to the store as I had finally fixated on sourdough bread and spinach dip. He was about to go to sleep and refused, told me I should just walk if I was that determined.

I went outside and saw that it was cold but no longer windy. So, to Josh's great amusement, I bundled up and actually went.

I put on a big coat and fuzzy scarf around neck. It wasn't TERRIBLY cold, but I've always had issue with cold making throat worse and since I'm still healing I didn't want to take any chances. Walked my crazy butt the half mile to Albertson's!

The last time I'd gotten some spinach dip from there it was one of two left. And since it was just past 1am I was worried that they might be out. But apparently they'd just restocked because there was plenty of everything, so I easily acquired me the spinach dip and a little sourdough loaf.

About halfway on the walk there, I'd remembered that (at least this) Albertson's is stupid, they close their self-checkout at night and keep ONE staffed register open. Smith's is smart, they keep only the self checkouts open at night, so one person is supervising several registers instead of running one. But Smith's is a tiny bit further down and I was not certain they'd have what I wanted.

So of course, there was a ridiculous line at 1:20am.

There were also like 4 people behind me when I took this picture. But then when I got to the register, the girl was super nice and complemented me on my choice of "midnight snack" and said she was jealous. So then I felt bad for being grumpy about having to interact with a humanperson.

The security guard was inside the store just behind me when I snapped the above picture. And eyed me rather oddly for stopping where I was.

The wind actually picked up a bit on the way back, fortunately it was behind me, but it was still annoying. But finally HOME!

I enjoyed my dip and bread very much, and had no more crazy MUST EATs that night. I hope it doesn't attack me again today, it was VERY annoying. Plus I have no more randomwalktostoremoney, so I'll just have to suck it up, if so.
